Mission and Vision

The Rowan-Virtua NJISA strives to be the premier provider of geriatric care, education, research and public policy in aging, attracting a cadre of skilled clinicians, educators and scientists who will set the standards for geriatric medicine, develop state-of-the-art educational programs, conduct cutting-edge research and advocate to improving the lives of older people in New Jersey and beyond.

We promote successful aging and improve the quality of life of older adults and their families by providing a network of comprehensive care and quality clinical geriatric services that respond to cultural differences; maintaining a national standing as one of the preeminent interdisciplinary geriatric education programs in the country; demonstrating leadership in aging research; disseminating information to the public about successful aging; and positively influencing geriatric health care policy and standards.
